St Joseph’s School Primary campus operates as a double stream offering a Catholic education for students from Pre-Kindergarten to Year Six. As a Catholic school, there is an emphasis on the faith development of students and participation in the Sacramental Program organised in conjunction with St Joseph’s Parish. At St Joseph’s School, all Primary Teachers program from the WA Curriculum and are implementing a whole school Explicit Instruction program across Literacy and Numeracy. MultiLit is an early intervention program offered to support students during Literacy Dedicated Time. A strong Physical and Health Education program is conducted across the Primary campus and Auslan is taught from Years One to Six.
COMMUNITY SERVICE
Students in PP – Yr 12 are required to complete Christian service activities within the community for hours of 10 activities for the younger children an up to 20hrs for the Yr 11 – 12s.
Community service provides opportunities for young people to develop the values, skills and understandings needed to contribute to civic wellbeing. It will enable students to address many of the general capabilities described in the WA Curriculum.
