The Head of Secondary is a member of the School Leadership Team and has the major responsibility for the running of the Secondary Campus and reports directly to the Principal.  This position requires a dynamic, inspirational and innovative person to work collaboratively with the Principal to develop the Secondary Campus through an integration of faith, culture and life which promotes the development of all aspects of the lives of both staff and students.  St Joseph’s School has a strong influence from the Charisms of the Marist Brothers and Sisters of St Joseph of the Apparition

In this role of Head of Secondary, it is essential that a high level of professionalism and leadership within the K-12 setting is demonstrated.

Primary Teacher (Years 3-6) – Full-time, Temporary [Maternity Leave]
19 July 2021 to 31 December 2021

Selection Requirements:
Special skills are needed and applications are invited from applicants who possess the following attributes:
• A Catholic teacher holding an Accreditation to Teach Religious Education (or working towards).
• Able to demonstrate highly competent classroom management.
• Possess a sound knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum.
• Understands the importance of developing positive relationships with children in order to cater for students’ needs.
• Demonstrates an understanding of the need for both Explicit and Differentiated instruction within a classroom environment.
• Be a creative, flexible and enthusiastic educator who understands and can demonstrate the importance of ICT being embedded and integrated into the classroom.
• Be an enthusiastic and cooperative team person who will work collaboratively with all teachers and the Leadership Team.
• Be able to work closely with the Parish and parents.
• Show initiative and participate fully in school activities.
• Demonstrate a high degree of professionalism and excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Hold relevant 4 year tertiary qualifications.
